Holding a Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Disability, Kate takes an evidence-based and practical approach to occupational therapy, ensuring recommendations are tailored to each individual's goals, environment, and support needs. She is committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Kate is particularly passionate about supporting vulnerable and underserved members of the community and is committed to ensuring her occupational therapy services remain accessible, equitable, and responsive to the diverse needs of older Australians. She believes everyone deserves access to high-quality support that enables them to live safely and meaningfully within their home and community.
Kate has a strong interest in supporting clients with complex care needs and works collaboratively with families, carers, and service providers to develop realistic and sustainable solutions that support ageing in place and safe daily living within the home environment.
The Australian Government's Support at Home program helps older Australians access services that support them to remain living safely and independently at home for longer. Occupational therapy services may be funded under clinical supports and independence supports.
